Consulting Rates and Payment Options

My rates are based on a sliding, hourly scale.  The more time I spend with you and your project, the lower the hourly rate.  Price breaks are at the 6 and 40 hour marks.  The time spent does not have to be at one time.  

For instance, let's say your needs call for me to spend four hours on your project.  In this case, you will be invoiced of 4 hours at the "less than six hours rate."  

Now let's say you come back a year (or more later) and need help with a totally different project .  This time I spend 10 hours addressing your needs.  You would be billed for two hours at the "less than six hours rate" and 8 hours at the "between 6 and 40 rate."

I track time to the nearest minute and invoice to the nearest quarter hour (rounded up).

I reserve the right to change rates at my discretion and that includes giving an additional price-break when I feel like it.

In any event, you will be notified in writing of my estimate of charges before any assistance is given and you will need to agree to the terms before we get started.  

In some cases, this will be a simple letter of agreement, exchanged via email. In those cases, I will expect payment in advance.  This payment can be either in the form of a check, money order, or PayPal payment.  My clock starts ticking when I actually begin work on your project.  I will not go back and bill you for time spent discussing the project in advance of an agreement. In other cases, the agreement might be in the form of a written contract or company purchase order.  If your company insists on a formal contract, that is fine, but if we're talking a "ten pager" or more, then my price goes up.

Rates:

1. 0.25 - 5.75  hours: $92.50 per hour
   

2. 6 - 39.75 hours: $90.00 per hour
   

3. Over 40 hours: $87:50 per hour
   

Discounts:  

If you purchase either the Task Analysis Toolkit or the Nominal Group Job Task Analysis course, the first six hours will be charged at the 6 - 39.75 (Number 2) rate.

PayPal Payment

Note: Don't click the PayPal button below unless you have a written estimate or invoice from me.  When you click the button, you will be branched to a secure PayPay site where you will enter contact information, a dollar amount, and a credit card number.  

When that transaction is completed, three things will happen:

I will be notified that your payment has been received and I will contact you.  

You will also receive email notification of the transaction.

You will be returned to another page on this web site that comfirms receipt of payment.
